Meltwater’s been a fan of eminem since way back when he was this mythical white rapper that some freind of a freind of yours told you about in art class in high school (or maybe that was just me).  His rhyme schemes were and still are some of the most complex and poetic ones out there.  Regardless of content his rhyme style is truly artistic.  Here’s a link to his newest track “NOT AFRAID” off of his forthcoming “Recovery” album.   Pretty good in my opinoin im definitely looking forward to hearing the rest of the album….however I still kinda feel like Em’s been rhyming on the same beat for the past 10 years (maybe thats just me again…)Take a listen….

Shepard Fairey was in town yesterday and FMW caught word of an istallation on Rocket Cat Cafe (Frankford & Norris) So we printed him a tee, and headed over, where we traded the tee for a health care reform poster… While there we shot a little video for the blog and our boy Chris was there to take some really ill photos! Here is some footage from the event! Enjoy!

The Re-up (our 1 year anniversary party for our Flagship store) was a GREAT time. Mad freinds and fam came out to celebrate a year of retail bliss for Fresh Melt Water. The weather wasn’t as bad or as good as it was predicted to be. It didnt rain but it also wasnt as warm as we’d hoped. Nevertheless we came together and partied with lots of amazing performances and enough beverages to choke a camel. We dropped the first half of our new Spring/summer line for the OH TEN titled: “TUNE IN, TURN ON, DROP OUT” and it came out AMAZING. We are using a brand new blank tee which is super soft and fits PERFECTLY. It’s all available in our online shop HERE so go check it out.

Graffiti Analysis is an extensive ongoing study in the motion of graffiti. Custom software designed for graffiti writers creates visualizations of the often unseen motion involved in the creation of a tag. Motion data is recorded, analyzed and archived in a free and open database, where writers can share analytical representations of their hand styles.

I love how they use this tool to analyze handstyles in a 3d space where speed is interpreted as a different planes movement.  Even cooler to be able to do it using a real marker…..check it here.
