HOPS’ SHOW @ EASY ST. GALLERY BK TOMORROW!
![]()
It’s that time of the month! This month our good brother HOPS will be presenting his body of recent pipes at Easy Street Gallery in Brooklyn. For those who don’t know, Hops invented the INLINE.
From Wikipedia:
Inline percolators resemble the tree with one larger arm sealed inside a jacketed Dewar. The Inline contains slits and is usually found in the first chamber of the water pipe. The Inline can be made with slits of varying diameter causing increased diffusion and massive visually entertaining bubbly action. Coined ‘Harmonic’ the action resembles waves of bubbles similar to a sound wave pattern. The glass artist ‘Hops’ is credited along with ‘Toro’ for origination of terminology and design.
Get it? Check these pics of a couple of his new pieces. The inline is the bottom horizontal clear piece:
OK just one more little teaser pic.
He is a true trailblazer and father to a now very common piece of glass pipe technology. His work is scientifiic, artistic and innovative at once. You don’t want to miss this one. As always the artist himself will be in attendance to answer questions and receive your praise and adoration. And also as always (for those who’ve never been) they’ll be a RAFFLE for one of HOPS pieces…..COME THRU!!!!!!!
